The Barnyard series was one of my kids favorites when they were little! We have also enjoyed the Prydain Chronicles.
ReplyDeleteI don't think any of my kids really have a favorite yet. Though my all time favorite will always be Mrs. Piggly Wiggly.
ReplyDeleteThe Ordinary Princess just arrived today. We have never read it and it is a birthday gift for my daughter. So glad to see it on your list!
ReplyDeleteReading your list made me think that something like the Count of Monte Cristo would make a great read aloud for the night I read to my boys.
Some of those I've never heard of - I think so far our favorites have been Alice in Wonderland, Faithful but Not Famous and Mary Poppins.
ReplyDeleteMy daughter enjoyed the Ordinary Princess and I rather like it too. I've never read the Children of the New Forest but it sounds fascinating and a must read. We used to travel through the New Forest fairly frequently.
ReplyDeleteMy daughter loves anything Dr Seuss and any book about animals! My son loves Henry & Mudge right now. My oldest is getting into the Christian Hero Series right now and I enjoy watching them read!
ReplyDeleteI love to see what others are reading. We have read some of your favorites but not all.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure about my kids' favorite books. My three year old loves any story set to music. My 10 year old enjoyed The Hobbit this year. The Narnia books are very popular also.
