In my Teen Sunday School class that I teach we have been working our way through American Heritage Series DVD Set
and last Sunday this Benjamin Franklin quote was shared which made me scurry for my phone and look it up. In today's world we are being bombarded on how we are not a Christian nation and yet when you go back into the documents of our Founding Fathers you see that is not true. I am sharing this short quote from his Constitutional Address on Prayer given on June 28, 1787."I have lived, Sir, a long time and the longer I live, the more convincing proofs I see of this truth -- that God governs in the affairs of men. And if a sparrow cannot fall to the ground without his notice, is it probable that an empire can rise without his aid? We have been assured, Sir, in the sacred writings that 'except the Lord build they labor in vain that build it.'"-Benjamin Franklin
