I flailed as I saw the ground coming toward me, trying to grasp the horse's mane. But Teispes's weight pulled me down and for the second time that day I was toppled off a horse. p. 285
Doesn't sound good... wonder what made her fall of the horse two times.
ReplyDeleteGreat teaser :) Reminds me of my various "attempts" to ride a horse, though I'm sure she's falling off for far more dramatic reasons than just being clumsy :)

Ouch! Have had only a handful of experiences with horses myself, some more pleasnt than others, but at least I never fell. Good teaser!

Aw shucks folks--when a horse bucks you off, you just get back on the onery critter and show him who's boss. I've been bucked off a time or two, its not that bad :) kaye—the road goes ever ever on
