Teaser Tuesday is hosted by Should be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
•Grab your current read
•Open to a random page
•Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
•BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
•Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
The Adventures and the Memoirs of Sherlock Holmes
To Sherlock Holmes she is always THE Woman. I have seldom heard him mention her under any other name. p. 5
I've enjoyed so many Sherlock Holmes movies, as well as the series on public broadcasting, but I've never read this book! Guess I'd better do something about that. Thanks for posting a teaser from it.
ReplyDeleteMine is from Each Angel Burns.
I want to know who this woman is! It's such a frustrating teaser. For me anyway. Maybe this is my excuse to read Sherlock Holmes XD
ReplyDeleteAnyway, thanks for dropping by my blog and reading my teaser.
Great teaser! ;D

That could be really romantic, or a sign of unending frustration.
ReplyDeleteHi Beth,
ReplyDeleteI have only read a couple of Holmes's adventures, although I am an avid follower of the films and television adaptations.
Given his many eccentricities, I guess I really shouldn't be surprised that anyone female should be known as THE woman. I can just hear him saying it, although it isn't really very flattering!
Yvonne
I love Sherlock Holmes!! Great Tease, too - I love how he calls her THE Woman, as if she's the only one that holds his interest!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by SunnyReads!
