What's On Your Nightstand - November

What's On Your Nightstand

I had a good month for reading, but some of that was due to spending over 17 hours in 3 airports, 2 airplanes, and a hotel trying to get home from Cancun, which led to quite a bit of reading. For December, I plan to read:

From my October post I read:
Die Laughing (Daisy Dalrymple Mysteries, No. 12) by Carola Dunn
Love on a Dime (Ladies of Summerhill) by Cara Lynn James
Mistletoe and Murder (Daisy Dalrymple Mysteries, No. 11) by Carola Dunn
The Wedding Machine (Women of Faith Fiction) by Beth Webb Hart

I also read:
Highland Blessings by Jennifer Hudson Taylor
House on Malcolm Street, The: A Novel by Leisha Kelly
A Mourning Wedding: A Daisy Dalrymple Mystery (Daisy Dalrymple Fletcher) by Carola Dunn
One for the Money (Stephanie Plum, No. 1) by Janet Evanovich
Premiere by Melody Carlson
Primrose Day (Odyssey/Harcourt Young Classic) by Carolyn Haywood

Birthing Your Burden in Children's Ministry by Vickie Oliver
The Girl in the Dress by Lori Wagner
Simplify Your Holidays: A Christmas Planner to Use Year after Year by Marcia Ramsland

I listened to:
Ivanhoe by Sir Walter Scott
A Little Princess by Frances Hodgson Burnett

I am currently reading:
A Mom After God's Own Heart: 10 Ways to Love Your Children  by Elizabeth George

  1. Oh wow -- I'm going to have to check out A Mom After God's Own Heart. Elizabeth George really taught me how to love my husband, so I'll bet she'd be good for the kids too!!

  3. I'm listening to the Stephanie Plum series, but have been waiting forever for book 5. Love them so far. I've been reading Ivanhoe in small bites for a year now--my self-imposed Amblesideonline reading.I'll check out some of the titles you've posted!

  4. Yeah, I can see how 17 hours in airports could have definitely helped a reader out! =D (Sounds like an amazing trip though!)

I haven't read A Mom After God's Own Heart. That's one of her rare titles I haven't made it too but everytime I see it I think I really ought to pick it up now that I'm a mom with kids and all that....

Seems like a good idea at any rate! =D

  5. Aren't airports wonderful? If it hadn't have been for my trip to Boston this month and plenty of layover time along the way, I wouldn't have read nearly half of what I ended up reading.

  7. Is that a Thoene book I see in your stack? I don't think I've yet read a bad book from those authors. They tell a great story!
