Last school year we started Apologia's Exploring Creation with Zoology I. The first part of the book deals with the study of birds and we decided to see if we could attract any birds to our yard. Honestly, I thought it wouldn't work, since we don't have a lot of trees in our neighborhood and I haven't heard or seen many birds except the scrub jay and tons of crows.

It has taken a while, but we are slowly starting to see a different assortment of birds come by our feeder. Last week, after hearing a bird song that I wasn't familiar with, I looked out and saw this:
